VALERIJA NIKOLOVSKA TRIO (hr)

Valerija is Croatia’s renowned blues/soul/jazz singer and writer. In the 1990s Valerija was a member of the band Mayales. So far she has recorded three solo albums, and together with Viktor Lipić – music writer, pianist, producer and her life partner – she has contributed her creative brilliance to several projects (Trio LiVaDa, She Ka Ra). Valerija often appears as a guest artist in other projects (Songkillers, Balkan Zoo Ensemble, etc.). Her album She Ka Ra, recorded within the project of the same name, was released in 2023, and she currently plays a role in the musical Cinderella, directed by Sanja Hrnjak and produced by the Karlovac Drama Studio.

As a studio and concert musician, Viktor Lipić (keyboards) has participated in a number of projects of various music genres, and his authorial work is jazz-oriented. In 2021, Lipić won the Status award for the best pianist in the jazz category. He is a co-founder, arranger, producer and performer in numerous projects.

Janko Novoselić (drums) has an impressive career marked by collaborations with famous Croatian, European and world jazz musicians, and is known to a wider audience as the drummer of the band TBF from 2008 to 2013 (playing on two albums). Novoselić also releases solo albums, and in 2015 he founded his own band Kozmodrum. He is a permanent member of the Croatian Radio-Television Jazz Orchestra.
